Metalinguistics of Cornish

by Dr Ken George

I have published only one paper on this subject. It was a refereed paper in Cornish Studies 3. The referee re-wrote bits of the paper without my permission; this is so contrary to accepted academic practice that I have never submitted any work to that journal since. The version on this web-site is the original text of the paper.

It is, nevertheless, a subject which deserves much wider debate, and has therefore been named as one of the themes for the 2017 Skians Conference.

Although some speakers get annoyed at any suggestion that Cornish is an artificial language, it does share some similarities with Esperanto .
